In recent years, information technology has developed
rapidly, using electronic resources to learn has become
an unstoppable global trend. Our School has been ready
to adapt to electronic learning in early years. In 2015, we
have joined the “Wifi900 Project” offered by EDB, having re-
built the entire wireless network and set up over 75 Wifi
hotspots in our campus, turning our school into an internet
accessible campus. To encourage teachers to utilize
information technology in learning and teaching, and to
facilitate interactive learning process, 80-inch interactive
whiteboards were installed in some of the classrooms and
we have purchased more than 200 tablets this year. In
addition to enhancing the teaching efficiency of teachers,
the project is also aimed to nurture good learning habit of
                                                                                              st
Electronic learning in Chinese Language class students and train them to be adaptable to the 21 century
environment with the proficiency in using information
technology, active and cooperative learning and problem solving skill.

In our junior Computer Literacy class, the content of ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence) was
incorporated into the curriculum. The integration of training, assessment and application facilitates the use
of information technology in school. Also, students could learn about multimedia editing, cloud computing,
programing of robotics, 3D printing and design in class. We strongly encourage our students to extend their
learning experience outside of the classroom. During the Subjects Field Trip Day held annually, students will
complete a project-based assignment in different subjects through conducting inspection, interview, experiment
or problems solving process, with the aid of tablet computers. Apart from the subject of Computer Literacy,
electronic learning tools are also used in the teaching of other core subjects so as to foster interaction and
interest of learning. Students could read on the tablets in our English class; in Chinese Language class, “Good
Article Sharing” was set up in Google Classroom to encourage students to share and create; in Mathematics
class, we use the software “Geogebra” to visualize some abstract mathematical concepts; the tablets have also
been used in Liberal Studies class, enabling all students to watch the Hong Kong Cup Diplomatic Knowledge
Contest together, to help deepen students’ knowledge about our country and build up an international perspective. Life-wide Learning Activities Life-wide Learning Activities
