Community Volunteer Services

All S2 and S3 students have participated in a community volunteer
service during the first and second school term respectively. They were
trained up by social workers of Chinese YMCA for program design and
implementation before the service. The three S3 classes went to visit
the elderly in their house, playing chess with them or doing household
cleaning. For S2 students, each class went to serve a kindergarten in the
community by holding games, story-telling and doing handicraft with the
        kids.
After the volunteer service, the S3 students evaluated that they enjoyed
the meaningful time staying with the elderly. Some of our students even felt
that they were reversely being served as the elderly encouraged them with
their valuable life experience. Our S2 students also enjoyed much in their
kindergarten service. They played games with the kids, encouraged them and
led them as the kids asked for assistance. The students were leaders, helpers
                                        and playmates of the kids.

        Military Training

The challenges in the Military Camp have shaped our
Secondary 1 students to become independent individuals
who value patience and hard work. Most importantly,
they have developed effective leadership skills and
communication skills that are essential for effective
                     st
        leaders in the 21 century.
Joyful Teens – “Life Surfing Program”

In collaboration with the YMCA School Social Work Department, our
school has participated in the Life Surfing Program (“Joyful @ School”
Campaign) sponsored by the Quality Education Fund in the academic
year 2018-19, aiming to strengthen the positive energy and resiliency
of S1 and S2 students. Apart from a 2 days 1 night camp, a range of
activities including booth activity, talk, volunteer services, etc. have been
        organized.
