in length and edit them before posting. Some may also allow users to do live
broadcasts.

Recently, using the short video apps to take videos has become more
common and popular. These apps with powerful editing capabilities attract
a lot of people to use them. I think it is because of several reasons, no age/
place limit, helping creators grow and celebrities effect.

First of all, people like using short video apps because of celebrities
effect. The followers of the celebrities or idols will follow their daily life and
sometimes they may simulate what the celebrities or idols do. For instance,

celebrities on the mainland use short videos to engage with their fans or
make some “challenge videos” to interact with others, so the fans start
making videos to show they have followed the idol and do what the celebrities
