Part-time jobs around you

Students are busy with school work nowadays. However, doing part-time job
is more and more popular these days. Some people think doing part-time jobs

leads to lots of negative impacts. On the other hand, some people may not
mind this. In this essay, I will explore different arguments about the benefits
of doing part-time job and reasons why people disagree.

Firstly, part-time job provides social opportunities. Working is a great
way to communicate with strangers and it is easier to develop relationships
with people and share your views. In this way, students will be more
open-minded about talking with people they don’t know. Part-time jobs increase

opportunities for interacting with others.

Furthermore, there is a belief that part-time jobs allow students to learn

about time management. Students having a job will have less free time than
non-working students. Students need to be better planners as they have to
make sure they can complete all their schoolwork. Therefore, some students
would create a timetable reminding themselves what they need to do. It
enhances students’ autonomous learning ability, motivation and self-directed

learning.

However, there are other considerations. Doing part-time jobs can be so

exhausting Students usually devote all of their time to part-time jobs and
they do not have enough spare time. Students will become depressed and
sad because of their work. It is not fair to demand students to do well.
