Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

I am writing to express my views on visiting museum which is good for us.
I believe that visiting museum by ourselves is good for us. I will explain the
benefits of visiting museums.

First, we can learn more different cultures about our country. A lot of Hong
Kong students or children do not know their own culture. Just like my brother,
he doesn’t know it is a Cantonese tradition that Hong Kong people love to
have dim sum at Chinese restaurants. I was shocked after I knew my brother

is such an ignoramus. I think I should bring my brother to a museum at least
once.

Second, we can make some beautiful memories in the museum. We can

remember what we have learnt like the history of Hong Kong by photos or
notes. Every time I visit a museum, I bring my notebook to write down what
I have learnt, and I will take some photos about the new things. I always feel
happy that I spend my own time fruitfully in the museum.

And I think students should visit museums by themselves, as teachers will
force their students to visit a certain kind of museum but students may not
feel interested in it. I think students should choose the museum that they are

interested in. This can make sure they would like to learn about that subject
matter.
