You are Chris Wong. You are entering an essay writing competition held by the
English Club. The topic is as follows:

Should the use of mobile phones be allowed in school?

Write a one-sided argumentative essay in around 220-280 words. In your essay,
you should have:

˙a title stating the topic of your argumentation

˙an introduction showing the background and your stance clearly,

˙three arguments, with explanations and/or examples, and

˙a conclusion summarising your main points and restating your stance.

Nowadays, smartphones and mobile phones are very popular. Even if you are
a child, you can also have your own. So should the use of mobile phones be
allowed in school? I do not agree with this. I think we shouldn’t use it in our

school. Many schools in Hong Kong also do not allow the use of mobile phones
in school, even in mine. So there are some points that I think about the use of
mobile phones in school.
