You are Chris Wong. You went on a trip to Japan with your family members
during the summer holiday. During your trip, you found that the local people
were very polite. You have decided to write a blog entry about that on CW’s
Travelogues, your personal blog.

In your blog entry, describe one experience during your trip which made you
think that the Japanese were polite, and reflect on what you have learnt from
their behaviours. Write around 180-240 words. Give your blog entry a title.

The politeness of the Japanese

I went on a trip to Japan with my parents and my sister during the summer
holiday. It was the first trip to Japan for me. I found out that the Japanese are
really polite. I want to share my experience about it.

During my trip, I went to a local Japanese restaurant for lunch. I accidentally
kicked a person’s leg and he fell down. His phone broke really bad. At first, I
thought he would be mad and ask for a pay-back. But he got up and said sorry

to me. I think I would be in a fight if this happened in Hong Kong. The Japanese
are just polite enough to calm down. It gave me a heart attack when this
happened but he acted like it was nothing. Although he didn’t ask for any
money, I still gave him some money because I felt sorry. This isn’t the craziest

thing though.

After I ate my lunch and went to pay, I realized I didn’t get enough money. I
needed HK$100 more for my lunch. While I was thinking about how to contact
