For extra-curricular activities, our students received over 470 awards in various open
competitions in the academic, aesthetic, physical and service domains in school year 2017-18.
Our student, Man Ngai See Moriah, won the Gold Medal of Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing
Championships, extending our tradition of outstanding performance in other learning
experiences.

“It takes ten years to grow trees, but a hundred years to nurture talents.” Having about 6,000
graduates over the past 40 years, we have educated numerous talents contributing to society.
On the cover of this year’s graduation ceremony booklet, the 40 anniversary logo designed

by our student illustrates that the ideal teaching and learning environment provided by the
school enables our students to grow healthily, proudly become talents and reap fruitful results.
This shows the Association’s dedication to serving society as well as its contribution to the
education in Hong Kong.

It has been 30 years since my first day of service in Kiangsu-Chekiang College (Shatin). It is
my greatest honour to witness and take part in such a remarkable development of the school.
Looking into the future, with the support of the school sponsoring body, school management
committee, parents and alumni, our colleagues will continue to put in all their efforts, move
with the times and join hands to gear towards the glamourous 50 anniversary.
