Canada Ecology Tour 2019

Throughout the nine-day tour, students learnt more
about Canada including its history and geography.
More importantly, students got an opportunity to explore
about the nature, as well as the ecology. We visited
Vancouver and travelled all the way through Banff to the
Jasper National Park where Columbia Icefield locates.
The highlights of the trip were the visit of the frozen
Lake Louise and the glamorous Columbia Icefield.

Experiencing a valuable journey to the disappearing
glacier, the students learnt more about the ecology, for
instance, the reasons and effects of global warming
which is the major reason why the glacier has been
diminishing. Other than that, students understood
more about wildlife and the nature as they went to the
ecology centre to look at different species in the nature,
as well as the honey bee farm where they had a close
interaction with the bees.

The tour has been a huge success, thanks to the lovely
weather throughout the days and the effort contributed
by the guides, school and parents. It is expected that
students will become more environmentally friendly and
have a stronger sense in environmental protection.
