Students’ Sharing
4A Winsy Ho
In Australia Study Tour, I have learnt that we need to care for
our nature. Streets in Australia are clean and quiet. Even the streets
are full of people, they are still very quiet. I hope the streets in Hong
Kong can be like this.
Visiting a local school in Australia was the most impressive part.
From there, I could experience how friendly and helpful the teachers
and students were.
In Melbourne, English words used in there are easy to read. This
inspired me to learn English better when I am back to Hong Kong.

In this tour, I have learnt to be polite because people in
Melbourne always say ‘Thank you’ and they always smile to others,
even you are a visitor or a stranger. Being polite is very important.
Going to Maru Koala and Animals Park impressed me most
because I could take photos with cute koala and fed kangaroos
and emus. All of these were my first experiences.
This tour inspired me ‘Don’t be afraid to use English when you
visit other countries!’

I have learnt a lot in this Australia Tour. First, I have learnt
to have good table manners when having meals. When we eat,
we should eat quietly. We should use the knife and fork properly
and slowly. Also, I have learnt a lot of English words in Australia,
for example, seagulls, emu, beacon, eat-in, take-away ……
I found that English is not difficult. I should study hard for my
English when I am back to Hong Kong. Besides, I have learnt to
be cooperative with my group mates in Australia. I have helped
and shared with my mates when they were in need.
In the tour, visiting Phillip Island was the most impressive
part because I could see the penguins coming home in the

evening. This inspired me to save a clean place for animals. We I had a wonderful journey in Australia.
should be good to our nature.
I saw many animals which I’ve never seen
before such as kangaroos, camels, koalas
and emus. I tried a lot of new things. I took
photos with koalas and camels. I also fed the
kangaroos and emus. I saw the wool cutting
as well. I learned that we should protect the
natural environment in order to provide a
20 better place for the animals to live.
