Horse Riding

Horse riding is an activity liked by all. The Hong Kong
Jockey Club custom made a specialized programme
for our school for the week. During the programme
students learned about taking care of horses and we also
introduced to various different riding techniques.

The students had to tend to the stable and clean it; dust
and brush the horses as well as tack up the horse in their
saddle and bridle before beginning the riding session
each day. The riding session started with leading the
horse, having the correct posture, walking, trotting,
cantering and other gaits.

At the end of each day the riders had to wash the horses,
and clean the saddle and bridle. The students were
taught to respect the animal as well as the equipment
used for riding.

The week ended with the students wanting more and
looking forward to their next riding session.
