Edinburgh
This year, 14 of us went to the beautiful city of Edinburgh
in Scotland accompanied by Ms. Ali and Ms. Lawson.
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and its a city filled
with spectacular rocks and gothic buildings. There was a
festive atmosphere as the people loved to dress up and
perform songs and dances everywhere. Even the way
the locals spoke was sing-song. We visited all the famous
tourist spots like Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace and
even climbed climbed Arthur's seat. We took several
day trips outside of Edinburgh and went to the borders
to look at Hadrian's Wall, Melrose Abbey and the Great
Wallace Monument. And yes we even tried Haggis and
Scottish Salmon, but would have preferred to try out
the other famous Scottish export that comes in barrels.
Unfortunately we were a wee bit too young. The true
highlight of the trip was our Drama Workshop with the
Royal Lyceum Theatre. We were fascinated by all that goes
on behind the stage, trying on costumes and looking at
how sets were built. This was a first time experience for all
14 of us and it was very special. Edinburgh was special. So
special that even the spooks we thought were in the walls
of our hotel didn't stop us from crying when we left. And
given the chance, we might just do it again.
