A Taste of Malaysia
6A Chan Tsz Lok, Elaine
In July, I joined the LAC Malaysia Study Tour. It
was an unforgettable experience for me. The most
interesting place I have visited is Royal Selangor
Visitor Centre. It was a good place to have fun while
I didn't have to walk under the sun. The charming
pewter artifacts were displayed. Moreover, all pewter
products were handmade. After that, I was given a
chance to make a personalized pewter bowls in a
traditional way. I made a beautiful bowl and brought LAC Study Tour to Malaysia
it home. This activity was very interesting and I felt
satisfied after the handwork finished. I also got a
certificate after the experience in 'School of Hard
Knocks'. It was definitely an eye opening and amazing
experience inside the air-conditioned building.
Malaysia is definitely a wonderful place to visiting. The
local people are nice, the historical architectures are
full of characteristics and the heritages are gorgeous.
I hope that I can visit this country next time. We love Melaka

This tour is a great learning experience for me. During
the tour, I know more about this country. For example,
on the third day, we went to Melaka and learnt that
the origin of Malacca name is came from a tree. Also,
their lifestyle is relaxing. It is very different from Hong
Kongers'. I think it is a special culture between Hong

The most remarkable day for me is day 2. We went

students. I had Mathematics and M2 lessons with the

face-to-face with the local students in the SMK Seri
Kembangan School, who gave us a tumultuous
welcome. The local students are enthusiastic and
they showed us around their school. Although their
school is very large, the facilities are very simple. No
air-conditioning is available in their classroom except
the elite classes. Therefore, the school students
will work much harder in order to enjoy the air-
conditioning. Comparing with our school, I do believe
that I study in a comfortable condition. I realized that I
need to treasure what I have now.
In the school, I made some new friends too. My
buddy Kim Ven is very hospitable and generous. He
even gave me some local gifts. I can feel how friendly
he is. He introduced a lot of Malaysia culture and the
hot spots to me when we were having lunch together.
I really learned from him. After that, I had lessons with
the local students. all my new friends gave me an
enjoyable and memorable experience. We are ready for the trip from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
