The fourteenth way is to marry with a foreigner who is a native speaker of English. This
might be the best way to improve your English.
The last way is to get a penfriend that we can write to. This might be a great way to
improve our writing skills.
If we do some or all of the things that I have mentioned above, I’m sure our English skills
will improve to a greater extent.

An Unforgettable Experience in SFCC

Last year, I had my first Athletics Meet in Sun Fong Chung College. I was very happy
when I woke up and excitedly got ready that morning.
I was competing in the 100m sprint, shot put and the 4 x 100m relay. My favourite event
was the 100m sprint because when I was in primary school, I won many gold medals for my
fast running. On the day of SFCC Athletics Meet, I waited patiently for my event to be called by
the announcer. Then I became anxious because it seemed to be taking a long time so I quickly
went downstairs and asked a teacher when the 100m sprint was on. She shocked me when
she said it was finished! I was so surprised and felt very sad because I had lost my chance of
winning a medal for my house, ‘Trustworthiness’.
This was my biggest regret in Form One because I was not careful and didn’t listen to the
announcer carefully.

45
