My Life 15 Years Later
2D Mak Hei Wa
I would like to work as an actor. The job involves acting with other people. I think the job is
meaningful because we can give our audience much joy and laughter. I would like to move to
China because I want to act with my idol whose name is Luhan. I hope I could learn valuable
lessons from him.
In order to prepare myself, I will set targets in my life. I will study more seriously and
try to make contributions to society. For example, I may be motivated to join more school
activities such as Drama Club. I will also pay regular visits to orphanages. I hope I can have an
opportunity to act with my idol so I will study more seriously in order to pass my subjects. I will
work hard to realize my dream.
After 15 years, I will live in a big house with two big gardens and I will have children of my
own. Finally, I will donate money to charitable organizations.
My First Volunteer Experience

It was the 15 anniversary of SFCC last month and this was the first time I worked as
a volunteer on the school’s Open Day for my Chinese teacher, Ms Lee. It was a meaningful
experience and it was really fun talking to primary school students from different districts.
My major duty on Open Day was to be in the Chinese Display Room, where calligraphy
works were being exhibited. It was not that simple to introduce the calligraphy to the guests
because many of them did not know much about this traditional art form. Therefore, I had done
research in advance and fortunately the guests were satisfied with my introduction.
This volunteer experience turned out to be a rewarding one because I felt like I was doing
something meaningful to help promote our school in a positive way. I have developed a sense
of belonging to SFCC since I started my school life here two years ago. My teachers and
fellow schoolmates are helpful and cheerful so I enjoy my school life a lot. Whenever I have
ups and downs, I always share with them. I feel grateful indeed to have contributed a little for
the school on Open Day.
In addition, I have learnt how to cooperate with my schoolmates since decorating the
display boards required a lot of teamwork. To our surprise, one of the display boards was
damaged on Open Day. However, all our team members managed to fix it. We could not help
but heave a sigh of relief after a day of hard work.
If you asked me if I would like to be a volunteer in the future, I would definitely say ‘yes’. If
you have not had a chance to volunteer yet, go for it and appreciate the chance you are given.
