Outstanding STEMers

In 2018, a group of S5 students won the
championship of an invention competition by Shine
Tak Foundation. The group re-designed a window,
namely Windows 90, which is rotatable inward.
Users can rotate the outside of the window inward
instead of leaning out of the window when they
are cleaning it. It can make the process of cleaning
windows much easier and safer.

  Patent granted Patent granted

Besides, Windows 90 could respond to
the weather based on custom setting or
real-time monitoring from the users. Users
can monitor and control the window from
anywhere through telegram or Smart
windows, an app designed by our students
as well. People no longer need to worry
about how the sudden change of the climate
would affect their homes. The innovative
design was granted a patent by the
Intellectual Property Department in 2019.
