 Campus Of Inclusion, Compassion And Harmony  Tailored Teaching For Diversity



 本校是一所推行「融合教育」的主流中學,以「照顧個
 別差異,發掘孩子潛能」為教學目標,貫徹有教無類的
 教學理念,為學生提供不同範疇的支援,讓孩子領會
 「成長」要素,學懂「承擔」責任及獲得「成功」經
 驗,無論學生天賦如何,都有一展所長的機會,並於近
 年兩度獲頒「關愛校園—最關顧有特別需要學生」主
 題大獎。

 Our school is a mainstream school that implements inclusive
 education. In recent years, it has twice received an award
 for taking excellent care of students with special needs in
 the Caring School Award Scheme. We aim at catering for
 different learning needs and discovering diverse potentials

                                     The teachers make adjustments to the syllabuses, teaching materials and pedagogic
                                     strategies so as to cater for the diverse learning abilities among the students. Drawing
                                     reference from the Level Descriptors of the HKDSE exam, the teachers divide the subject
                                     contents into three tiers, namely Core, Extended and Challenging. The teaching objectives
                                     and the difficulty level would vary in accordance with the readiness levels of students.
                                     The teachers would check on the performance of each student regularly to keep everyone
                                     engaged and ensure optimal learning.

         Differentiated Instruction Strategies




         在六年的學習階段中,如果劃一學生所有課程內容,能力稍遜的學生
         很容易因無法跟上而失去學習興趣,同時資優學生的能力亦會被埋
         沒。分層調適課程就可以照顧不同能力學生在不同科目的不同需要,
         讓他們在同一課堂,按各自的進度學習。

         Throughout the six years of secondary schooling, if all students are taught
         with course contents of rigid uniformity, those who cannot catch up in
         class would lose interest while the gifted ones who are far ahead would
         fi nd it boring and under-challenging. Differentiated instruction can cater for
         different strengths and paces among the students. It can also match every
         individual student's own variations of abilities in different subjects. As a
         result, each student can learn at an individually suitable pace and with a
         more appropriate level of challenge in the same classroom.
