Building up good characters is not only about theoretical discussion. We set up
different scenarios to enable students to learn and reflect from the interesting
stories. We designed a story beginning with a little girl called Dorothy who lived in
the countryside with her beloved dog, Toto. One day, there was a tornado. They
were drawn into the swirling wind and lost consciousness. When she woke up, she
found that she and Toto were in a Magical Land.

Students are committed to create a
machine to help them cross the river
in the story. They are happy about
the final product. They conquere the
challenges with their courage.

Students need to move the boxes together with
some limitations. They learn to build a strong
team spirit and enjoy playing the game.

The teacher encourages students to break through the
difficult tasks. We hope students can learn and grow
In the Magical Land, Dorothy met the dwarfs. They from the difficulties, and build up a correct value.
asked her to go to Lands of Oz to find the magician,
Oz, who could help her find the way home. However,
the dwarfs were worried that Dorothy would face a lot
of difficulties on her journey, so they invited students
from WFJLPS to accompany Dorothy. On the way,
she met a scarecrow, a timid lion and a Tin Woodman.
They helped each other on the journey despite
each having their own strengths and weaknesses.
Throughout the journey, they encountered different
challenges. At last, they overcame the hardship and
found the powerful magician, Oz. They realised that
they actually had already achieved what they wanted
during the challenging journey.
Debriefing session is the key of each lesson. Students may
make some mistakes during the activities, yet teachers
share in a positive way with the aim of encouraging students
to learn from failures and review their misbehaviours.
