“WFJLPS offered me a diverse

range of opportunities.”

Alfred was first introduced to music at the age of 7 when he picked up
the horn, and he is now studying a Master of Arts at the Royal Academy
of Music in London – the top performing arts institution in Europe.

“I am genuinely thankful for the experiences I gained at WFJLPS.
During that period of time, I was given chances to become a student
librarian, a class monitor and a school prefect. I learnt to be a leader
from these duties. Most importantly, I was given an opportunity to learn
an instrument that changed my life. In one of the music classes, I was
impressed by the moment when Mr.Ng, the conductor of the WFJLPS
orchestra, picked up the horn and started playing. I was completely
captured by the melody outputted from the horn. Eventually, I joined the
school orchestra and began my journey in music.”
