W F Joseph Lee Primary School
This year, we included stories from the following 6 outstanding former and current
students. Each of their successful stories gives us a good reminder and some
insightful implications:
• Lee Kin Tat, Alfred – Class of 2010, an Outstanding Music Performer
• Fok Tsz Yau, Trinity – Class of 2021, the Student of the Year, an Outstanding
Gymnast and an Outstanding All-rounder
• Ng Mei Wai, Greta – Class of 2021, one of the Top 10 Awardees of the
Hong Kong Outstanding Teens Award and an Outstanding Gymnast
• Chan Yee Ching, Kris – Class of 2021, one of the 20 awardees of the Hong
Kong Outstanding Teens Award, an Awardee of the Character Award and
an Outstanding Gymnast
• Li Tung Yuk, Sunny – Class of 2021, the Winner of the Outstanding Learner
Award
• Ho Sin Tung, Vicky – Class of 2021, the Student of the Year, a Distinctive
Long-term Outstanding Student and an Outstanding All-rounder
Excellence is not perfection, but it is about a progress outperforming oneself,
because tears, patience, happiness, wisdom, knowledge, faith, and love are
common characteristics found in each of outstanding students listed above.
Hope their stories of excellence and personal experiences can give us a road
map and a model to learn why a positive life attitude is so important and how we
can outperform oneself!
Our school vision reminds us that:
“The school is an exemplary learning organisation wherein every member
achieves one’s best.”
• Our students as beacons of light;
• Our teachers and staff as exemplary mentors and role models;
• Our school as a learning institution for all; and
• “Harmony brings a family prosperity, cohesion makes a nation wealthy.”
And, I believe that each of you can be the light of the world. Not only do you
brighten others’ ways, but also inspire others to pay it forward with the spark
ever-glowing in their hearts. Can you all become “Beacons of Light” one day and
make a difference to the world? Let’s be confident in oneself and be grateful to
be one of the WFJLPS family members today.
