                                                               This Study, funded by the MTR Corporation, aims
                                                               to ascertain the overall territory-wide environmental
                                                               benefits of the new MTR lines and to compare the
                                                               total  emissions  from  the  buses,  minibuses  and
                                                               the  power  companies  with  and  without  the new
                                                               MTR lines. It reviews the transport, economic,
                                                               environmental and social costs and benefits as result
                                                               of a new railway line in Hong Kong with reference to
                                                               the Government’s Strategic Highway Project Review
