Echoes Towards Gratitude
P.E. Teachers of other Secondary Schools who were skilful with Gymnastic
Skills having heard of this new P.E./Sports Equipment and activities in Hong
Kong, came to us asking for permission from us to try learning or trying out
the new activities. So, Trampoline and its skills spread in Hong Kong from
Northcote College and got developed gradually.
After several years, a new model of Trampoline was equipped at Northcote
College, and the “old” one was transferred to Belilios Public School for teaching and
practice. The School P.E. Teacher/Head was Mrs TSANG LEE Pui Lan, Penny, who
had also returned to Hong Kong after P.E. further training at Coventry, England. She
later was promoted to be a P.E. Lecturer in Sir Robert Black College of Education,
and later still in Grantham College of Education.
So, here we have a brief history of Northcote College in Hong Kong regarding
the First Trampoline and the initial development of Trampoline activities. Our
College Graduates should be proud that we are, some extent, related in Hong Kong
to this P.E./Sports Equipment called the Trampoline and its activities.
Happy Bouncing!
