Expanding Horizons

Principal Au Yeung Wai Yin has
worked at Cognitio College(Kowloon)
for 38 years. The most impressive thing
in her teaching career is related to an
exchange tour to the northern part of
Guangdong Province. In the 1990s, few
students had the opportunity to travel
outside Hong Kong. As most people in
society were not rich, not every family
can afford to travel. Cognitio College
successfully organized an exchange
tour for the students thanks to the
sponsorship of an Hon. School Manager.
At the beginning, only a few students A group of elite students visited Shaoguan for cultural

went to Shaoguan for learning and exchange activities with students. They had lunch on the train

lunch, students ate happily. Happiness is emotional, but not material. Ms. Au Yeung is still keeping
the clay pot as a memorabilia of the trip!
