16 Interview with Principal
During the trip, students visited a local ‘Hope Primary School’. As some of the students were
living in the mountains, they had to board at school. There was a lack of equipment and supplies,
so students used the benches to make a bed. Two students shared a quilt at night and there was
only a little piece of chalk to use. They witnessed the hard life of the local students. So the next
day, the students all took out their pocket money and gave it to them. Principal Au Yeung said to
our students, "We must broaden our horizons and see the world. It will truly make us realize how
lucky we are!" She thought that this was an unforgettable experience. She hoped that students
saw the local school's learning environment and learnt how to be grateful.

Nowadays, Hong Kong has become an affluent
society and the number of people who can
participate in exchanges has increased. Destinations
extend from China to Southeast Asia and even
Europe. Students can travel to different places and
broaden their horizons easily. She hopes students
will respect different cultures and understand that
each country has its own economic and political
features. When they come back from the tours,
students can contribute to society and the country
in the future. Staff in the General Office celebrating
