Dear Daniel,
I sympathize with you about your brother Marco’s problems, which may also be the problems faced by many
teenagers. Don’t worry. I’d love to help him develop good habits.
First of all, we must identify the problem areas. It is because your brother Marco may have got addicted to online
games and social media. He went to bed late and he didn’t get enough sleep. He couldn’t concentrate in class and
didn’t review and hand in his homework during the day. I suggest that you make a schedule for Marco, specifically
describing what needs to be done after school and before going to bed. For example, review and complete
homework after school. If he does, you should encourage him by letting him play games or social media for half an
hour. Step by step, slowly reducing his gaming and social media time to no more than two hours a week.
As for Marco’s not exercising and eating lots of junk food, I’ll give you some advice. I suggest that you and Marco
exercise together. He will be more willing to exercise when accompanied by others. Health experts are now
preaching that even a little exercise is far better than none at all! You can also work with Marco to make healthy
food, such as fruit salad which may bring your relationships closer but also help him get rid of these two bad habits.
You can help your brother understand the food pyramid!
Eventually, as the proverb says, success belongs to the persevering. I hope your brother will get rid of these bad
habits as soon as possible. I am expecting to hear some good news.

Dear Daniel,
I understand that your brother Marco has a lot of bad habits that make you very worried
about him. But don’t worry, I’m here to give you some advice to help him to improve his
habits. I hope my advice is helpful enough for him to change his bad habits.
First of all, I advise you to make a timetable for him – when to sleep and when to do
homework. This can help him to improve his sleeping routine and have better time
management. He should sleep more because sleeping can give you energy and
sleeping too late may lead you to weight gain and will lower your concentration while at
school. He should have a better sleeping habit from now on. Also, I suggest you check
his homework every time before he sleeps so you can know he has done his homework
or not.
Additionally, in my opinion, you should assign him some school activities, like joining
the basketball team. He can train his basketball skills and lose weight. He can also
make new friends there. Also, you should watch out for his eating habits. Even if he
joins the basketball team, if he eats too much junk food, he won’t lose any weight. He
should eat more vegetables and fruits so that he can have a healthy body and a nice
body shape.
All in all, I sincerely hope that my advice can help your brother to improve his daily
