2019 had a few new trends on the internet, like
“Bad Guy” from Billie Eilish, and surprisingly, an online
game has also joined the mix, and it is Minecraft. The
creator of Minecraft was Markus Alexej Persson, better
known as Notch, and the company who made Minecraft
was Mojang.

The first Minecraft version was created in 2009, but it was only a flat plain land that you
could wander around. Then, brilliant updates came and
Minecraft became more fun and popular. You could start
discovering deep and mysterious caves, make anything you
can imagine, and EVEN MORE! Also, it should be noted that
Minecraft has been the best online game in this entire time.
Over 91 million people are playing the game!

But when Fortnite came out, the hottest game in 2019,
it had over 250 million players playing the game. Then
starting from June, Minecraft started to rapidly trend again.

So, you might be wondering: What’s making it trend again? The first and most obvious
reason is that Minecraft is a safe platform. Also, Minecraft isn’t as violent as Fortnite, and it
empowers people’s imagination. But the best reason is that a Swedish YouTuber named Felix
Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, aka PewdiePie, started a Minecraft
play-through series in June, and it was recommended
by one of his editors for gaming activities. Surprisingly,
the series got an enormous amount of views. The first
video in the series got over 30 million views! His viewers
enjoyed his playthrough, and started to play it. But
the disadvantage is that Minecraft is pay for access.

Minecraft is certainly a worthy game to buy because of the fun it offers. You can do
almost anything in Minecraft like making inventions and even flying! Also, people can choose
different types of game modes. It is an awesome and thrilling game. Go give it a try!
