Hamilton The Musical is an American

musical about the life of American Founding Father
Alexander Hamilton. It is produced by Lin-Manuel
Miranda, and inspired by the 2004 biography
Alexander Hamilton by historian Ron Cherno.

The musical sums up Hamilton’s life in
two acts, along with how various historical
characters influenced his life, such as Aaron Burr,
Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton, Angelica Schuyler,

Phillip Hamilton, and former presidents George
Washington, Thomas Jefferson, etc.

It lasts for two and a half hours and there are
a total of 49 songs. It is a historical show played

though modern and hip-hop music. I believe you will
all be fascinated by the beautifully written music
and the incredible vocals. Plus, I am sure the 18 th
century style costume designed by Tony Award

nominee Paul Tazewell and the outstanding lighting
design will catch your eye immediately.

For example, in the song “Satisfied”,
Angelica (played by Sbut Renée Elise

Goldsberry) uses her conversational speed
to represent how fast she thinks by rapping.
This song speeds up and slows down time as
Angelica airs her regret of introducing her

sister, Eliza, to be Alexander’s bride. The Musical

I highly recommend this musical to all
of our schoolmates as it’s a hip-hop Broadway
Musical, which is rare on Broadway. And

it is a well-written show with excellent
character development and plotline. Through
the show, it is proved that there are many

other interesting ways to learn History other
than just reading the textbook.
