Hello everyone, welcome to The Edge. If you want to know more about what is happening in
            the world, keep on reading!

As a student, studying is our first priority. I totally understand that it is very tough for us
sometimes as we are all pressured by the exam-oriented education system in Hong Kong. However,

we still have to improve our own ability so as to have a basic knowledge of different things that might
foster our future. Although we always experience difficulties with schoolwork, we should always
be serious and try our best to achieve better results. Don’t be shy to ask the senior schoolmates or
teachers for help. I am sure they are willing to give you a hand! Most importantly, a secondary student
should strike a balance between studying and having fun in life. Having fun doesn’t necessarily mean

stopping learning! It is of importance to learn from the textbooks as well as our daily life. Information
in our textbooks undoubtedly enables us to enhance our subject knowledge while exploring through
our life allows us to apply what we have learnt in class to the real world. If you need some more tips

on coping with stress, why not take a look at our mental health column?

The Edge is a magazine written by our schoolmates featuring a wide range of informative
topics from trending to social issues. This time, we have also included many fascinating articles on
topics such as unconventional pets, space rocks and constellations, and the world’s most haunted

places, as well as the annual big sports event of our school – the Athletic Meet. I know some of you
love doing sports, but do you know what the life of an athlete is like? Check out the articles in our
magazine to know more about all these!

Technology is becoming more advanced and we are connected to it every day. To show how
technology is closely related to us, our junior writers have written a few articles about tech-stuff
such as mobile applications and games. It is interesting to find out how technology has improved
our lives. For example, we can enjoy watching YouTube videos and variety shows at our fingertips

with our smartphones or other smart devices. Do you know a YouTuber called Kouki and a local boy
band called Mirror? Speaking of entertainment, I am sure you don’t want to miss our latest Netflix
            recommendations either.

Schoolmates, remember, do give yourself a chance to know more about the world by reaching
out of your comfort zone to try out distinct things in life. Learning from books is important for sure,
but sometimes we learn more while exploring the world. Enjoy reading the magazine and maybe you
will realise that life is always full of colours!

Enjoy your life and have a nice day. ☺
