P1 & P2 English Reading Bags
Our P1 and P2 students are
tremendously excited by the introduction of English
Reading Bags this year. Each bag contains a stimulating and engaging
fiction or non-fiction book, a reading review exercise book and a lovely small
toy that matches the reading material. Students borrow the Reading Bag for
an evening and enjoy the contents with their family members. They read
the book, play with the toy and fill in a short book report. They can even
draw a picture if they wish. The feedback has been extremely positive.
Vincent from 2H said “The book is magical. I enjoyed playing with the
soft toy fish” and Hannah from 1R said “My book is very special. I
liked reading it with my mum.” The objective of introducing Reading
Bags is to encourage the enjoyment, love and pleasure of reading
English books outside the classroom and school environment.
