o students in Henrietta, Siu Sai Wan
TSports Ground is new in two ways. First, it
is a newly renovated arena as it was seriously
damaged last September when Typhoon
Mangkhut directly hit Hong Kong. It is only
in recent months that the renovation work
has been finished. Second, it is a new arena
to us because our last Sports Day was held in
Wan Chai Sports Ground. With this double
sense of newness, one of the members of our
Athletics Team, Nathan, was invited to share
his opinion on this change.

iu Sai Wan Sports Ground is located at the tip of Hong Kong Island. There is a variety of ways to get
Sthere. It is situated between the industrial and residential areas. The sports ground has everything
you need for an A-meet, plus a football field.

ut if I have to choose between Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground or Wan Chai Sports Ground, I will go
Bfor the latter one. It is more accessible and professional. There is no MTR station near Siu Sai
Wan Sports Ground. Getting there from my home is a kind of painful experience as it takes at least
thirty minutes to get there whereas it takes me only 5 minutes to go to Wan Chai Sports Ground. As a
member of the school’s Athletics Team, I regularly visit Wan Chai Sports Ground to attend competitions.
To me, Wan Chai Sports Ground gives me a totally different atmosphere which boosts my adrenaline
immediately. Though the equipment and facilities in Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground are not bad, those in
Wan Chai are more professional as they are used for holding the Inter-school A-meet Division I races.

prefer Wan Chai to Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground as it is closer to my home and has a more special
I meaning to an athlete like me.
