          INTRO
We interviewed one of the new teachers, Miss
Siu Yu Ching. Miss Siu graduated from The
Chinese University of Hong Kong. Miss Siu is not
a class teacher in our school this year. We are
fortunate to ask Miss Siu some questions about
          herself.
          Let’s get into it.

R Why do you want to become a teacher?

Siu I met a nice teacher before when I was still a student. He was a nice and kind teacher and helped
students when they were in need. This teacher helped me a lot and I learned a lot from him too. I
wanted to become a person like him, so I studied harder and wanted to become a teacher.

R Do you think the students here are studying well?

Siu Yes, some students are hard-working and some of them fully prepare for the upcoming exam too.
But there are always some naughty students that are breaking the rules, so I may need to deal with
              them in the future.

R Are you happy when you are a teacher in the class?

Siu Yes, I feel happy when I am teaching. It’s
good that I can make students think that
              Chinese is not that hard.

R What do you do in your free time?

Siu I mostly do my work at school, but sometimes,
I watch anime to relax from overtiredness
              because of working too much.

R Do you mind sharing some of the most memorable moments when you are teaching?

Siu Sure! I once taught a student which was about to join a gang in the secondary school. When I first
taught him, he was rude, and he was ruining the class a lot. One day, he was absent. On the next
day, he came to my office and asked me what I taught the day before. His attitude had changed a
lot. I asked him why he had changed that much in just one day. He said he wanted to be a lawyer
when he grew up, so he would study much harder to become successful in the society in the future.
Some of the students I taught are bad and impolite, but I hope they can change their minds and
              become better people.

We would like to express our gratitude to Miss Siu for the interview.
