Green School Committee

The Green School Committee (GSC) promoted a
green culture throughout our campus. Through
workshops, field visits and competitions,
students developed better attitudes towards the
importance of energy saving, waste reduction
and environmental protection. Overall, our
committee eagerly promoted environmental
awareness in our school to make STCC an
environmental-friendly green campus. We
hope that an environmental-friendly life style is
nurtured in all our students for the future.

1. The inter-class S.1 energy saving competition raised our student’s
awareness of saving energy daily. Representatives of 1 Honesty and
1 Faith were awarded for their outstanding performance in energy-
saving.
2. Students joined the school-environment and microclimate research
workshop to learn more about the concept of microclimate locations
in our school.
3. Participating in a recycling competition, students learnt the rules of
processing and recycling waste so they utilise our recycling boxes
properly.
4. Environmental Prefects hosted a recycling-related game booth
during this year’s Open Days and educated visitors on how to
distinguish recyclable and non-recyclable materials.
5. Visiting the Lung Fu Shan Environmental Education Centre,
2 students had an opportunity to connect with the nature.
