       A Letter to the Principal

       Dear Principal,
           There are more and more students becoming overweight
       at our school recently. All of their parents are very worried on
       their health. I would like to express my views and suggest some
       ideas to stop the children from getting too fat.
           Children become overweight because they always eat junk
       food, such as potato chips, chocolates and drink soft drinks.
       They are lack of physical activities and they do not do exercise
       in their spare time. However, the most important factor of being
       overweight is that they eat too much.

           Overweight causes a lot of problems to the children.
       Overweight may increase the risk of having different diseases,
       including diabetes, heart disease and cancers. The children
       may get joint pain and foot pain because feet are the fulcrum of
       the whole body.
           There are some ways to keep fi t for overweight children. First, they need to have a healthy
       diet. They need to eat more vegetables and fruits, less meat and junk food, drink two litres of
       water each day. Second, they need to do at least thirty minutes exercise a day. They can jog in
       the park, play basketball or football with friends. Third, they need to sleep early. If they do all of
       these, they will be fi t and healthy.
