The Person I Admire

The person I admire is Florence Nightingale. She was born in Britain on 12 May,
th
1820. She was an English social reformer, statistician and the founder of modern
nursing.
In the Crimean War, she helped wounded soldiers at night. Everyone called her ‘The
Lady with the Lamp’. She improved the healthcare in Britain. She advocated better
hunger relief in India too.
I admire her because she was caring. She liked helping people in need. She even
helped people at night without sleeping. My parents are also nurses. Therefore, I
admire Florence Nightingale very much.
