Weekend Activities

When it comes to weekends, most teenagers might go shopping with their friends, play
video games or watch Korean dramas. Some may only want to take a rest at home while they
can still keep in touch with their friends through online chat. What we should probably do at
weekends is either to find new hobbies or join some interest classes to learn different technical
skills. You may also consider taking part in a wide range of voluntary services. Here are some
examples of what we can do at weekends:

First, we can participate in voluntary work for a more meaningful weekend. There are
different kinds of voluntary service. Cleaning beaches is a typical and popular choice among
teens. If we spend leisure time cleaning them, the environment will be much better. Although
the contributions we make seem limited, we can still be conscious of environmental protection.
In addition to cleaning beaches, we can also volunteer in some elderly homes and non-profit
voluntary organizations.

Second, we can join some interest classes to explore our potentials. Learning a new skill
helps to build your confidence and positive attitude towards life. For example, you can learn
how to cook your favourite dishes in a cooking class. Photography class is something you
cannot miss for sure. When you get your camera to produce better pictures, you can always
capture the most memorable and precious moments around you.
Last, we should engage in our favourite hobbies to make our lives more fruitful. Speaking
of my favourite pastime, it would definitely be calligraphy. The best part of it is that I can
involve in it without giving a thought to other unfinished business. I can relax my mind and be
more patient. In fact, there are many other hobbies for us to try so we should not only spend
our time playing video games.

In conclusion, we can do voluntary work, join interest classes or explore new hobbies at
weekends. If you have nothing to do at weekends, just go and find something fun to do. It does
not need to be complicated but it is all about making good use of time.
