5A So Hoi Yan, Hailey
Do you remember your first day in MTCS? Well, I can still remember what happened
on that day. Let me tell you about it.

On the first day in MTCS, I came here by school bus. When I first stepped into
MTCS, I was excited but nervous. I was excited because I could meet a lot of friends.
However, I was nervous because everything was new. Everything was different from
my kindergarten such as the teachers, classmates and even the school uniform!

On that day, I only met one friend. Her name is Yannes. She is trust-worthy. We had
a lot of fun. We shared snacks with each other. She has become my best friend at
school for the past few years.

The most unforgettable moment at MTCS was the time I got my vaccination. At that
time, I was scared so I cried out loudly. My English teacher, Miss Sum comforted me
so I calmed down gradually. When it was nearly my turn, I took a deep breath. The
doctor gave me a shot but I didn’t cry. Then, Yannes gave me a sticker and I was
touched.

I want to thank Miss Sum. She helped me gain courage so that I could be brave to
face difficulties in the future. I sincerely respect and love all the teachers here!

I’m in Primary 5 right now, but I still remember the first day I was at Meng Tak Catholic
School.

I woke up earlier than usual for school that day. I walked to school with my helper and
my sister. When I arrived at school, I couldn’t believe my eyes. “The school is huge!” I
thought. I walked into the school, holding my sister’s hands tightly. We were amazed to
see how colourful the school was!

When we stepped into the classroom, we saw Miss Cheung, our class teacher sitting at
the teacher’s desk. I was surprised to see so many classmates from my kindergarten in
the classroom! We played a lot of interesting games, like Musical Chair, Simon Says and
Red Light, Green Light. Then, we had a five-minute break. A girl with short hair came
to me and my sister. Do you know who she is? She’s Kristy, my best friend! We chatted
and shared our stories with each other. It was fantastic!

At the end of the day, we said goodbye to our classmates. I really want to thank my
teachers who taught me in Primary 1. They taught me a lot of things. That day was the
most unforgettable day at MTCS!
