4B Shi Hin Ching
I have joined the Cub Scouts of group 1390 in Yuen Long District since
primary three. I made a lot of new friends!
I learnt marching at first, but I didn’t perform well. My akelas are so nice
to all of us. They taught us patiently until we understood the steps and
started to march in shape. I really appreciate their teaching. They
also shared with us the jungle story. It explained the origin and
spirit of the Cub Scouts. We ought to be brave to overcome every
challenge. My fellow scout members are very nice and kind too. They
always offer generous help whenever I am in need. I enjoy spending
time with them and participate in every scout activity.
Unfortunately, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I couldn’t gather with my scout
members for a long time. We chatted with one another online. We could still stay
connected. I was glad that we could finally see each other even when the classes were
suspended.

Although we could only do limited things in front of a computer, we still spent time happily
together like the old times. I was able to learn knotting in Zoom lessons. Maybe one day
my knotting skills will help others in some way.
I will prepare myself to overcome the challenges in the future. I hope the pandemic will
be over soon so that we can have face-to-face lessons again. Last but not least, I hope
I will be able to go camping soon! I like camping and exploring the nature so much.
I am very glad to have joined the Cub Scouts. We spent fabulous time together!
Cub Scouts is the best!

3D Ng Yat Hei
I think that the uniforms of the Cub Scouts are very
smart. Therefore, I had been looking forward to joining the
Boy Scouts since K.3. This year, I am finally able to join the
school’s Cub Scouts. I am really honoured.
Recently, I have learnt knots in the after-school activities of
the Cub Scouts. It is a bit difficult for me. However, I learn
to face difficulties and I am not afraid of failures. Besides,
I hope that after joining the Cub Scouts, I will become
more aware of discipline and teamwork.
