Icarus slowly regained consciousness after the operation and asked the doctor what had happened. He had not been
conscious since the day he suddenly fainted. The doctor explained to him that he had undergone the kidney transplant
and it was successful. His parents stood by his bed and held his hand, filled with happiness they couldn’t contain. But they
started tearing up. Icarus frantically looked around the room. He suddenly understood.

“Where did I even get a kidn…Where is Sachi?” he asked, expecting the worse. His parents looked at each other.
There was a moment of tense silence.

“I’m sorry, son. We tried to stop her, but Sachi insisted on going through with the surgery.”
“Where is she now?”
“We just checked on her. She’s resting. Thankfully, the doctor said she’s going to be fine as well.”
After hearing that, relieved, he fell into a deep restful sleep. One he had never had in years.

After they had both been discharged from the hospital, Icarus finally asked her. He grabbed Sachi's hands and looked
into her eyes, "Why did you do this for me?"

Sachi simply gave him a warm smile and said, "I’m your sister. You tried to protect me because you love me. Also,
sorry.”

“Why are you sorry?”
“Now you’ll always have a small part of me inside of you,” she replied with a cheeky grin.
