Message from Supervisor
校監的話
Mrs Jennifer Yu Cheng Congratulations to Victoria Educational Organisation (VEO) on its 55 anniversary!
th
鄭余雅穎女士 For over half a century, VEO has been synonymous with excellence in early childhood education
Supervisor, in Hong Kong. Since 1965, VEO has remained committed to educating and inspiring kindergarten
children, endowing them with strong trilingual English, Putonghua and Cantonese abilities, to foster
Victoria Educational Organisation citizens with global vision and a strong sense of social responsibility, who seek every opportunity to
Deputy Vice Chairwoman contribute to the world.
& Group President,
CTF Education Group The heart and soul of VEO is, of course, the community! I extend my heartfelt thanks to the extended
維多利亞教育機構校監 VEO family – students, parents, teachers and staff – for their steadfast support over the years,
particularly during the pandemic.
周大福教育集團執行副主席
及集團總裁 While VEO alumni number far and wide, we are so proud of each and every one of them! VEO
alumni stand out for their professional accomplishments, contributions to their communities and
leadership roles. They truly are “multilingual students today, lifelong learners tomorrow”!
VEO has been steadily developing and enhancing our learning and teaching to reach staggering
new heights. VEO adopted the application of Columbia University’s Teachers College Reading and
Writing Project, a language-rich framework aimed at developing strong biliteracy skills through
inquiry-based learning. In addition, with the support of CTF Education Group, VEO pioneered
with Project Zero at Harvard Graduate School of Education on a pilot study on maker-centered
learning to enhance VEO’s STEAM curriculum. As it thrives, VEO has multiplied, expanding our early
childhood development playgroup programmes at Victoria Playpark. In the CTFEG's “EduMaker”
ethos, VEO has also been proactively embracing technological innovations, providing rich interactive
home-learning to students since schools were suspended due to COVID-19.
Despite the hurdles of the last year, VEO has made an enormous effort to maintain the standards for
which it is known, offering: rich online learning resources, educational home kits and parent-child
activity books, direct assistance to parents, dedicated teachers and management staff; and various
community outreach programmes. VEO has benefited greatly from CTF Education Group’s extensive
network of stakeholders and services – Academic and Curriculum Development, Talent Development
Academy, Technology Consultancy, Advisory Services, Institutional and Corporate Partnerships, and
Investments – to further enrich its learning ecosystem.
The coming years will promise more opportunities for VEO to respond with resilience, creativity and
grace to any challenge, big or small. I look forward to striding forward, together, into VEO’s bright
and promising future!
