Speaking League

Our school has made an important stride forward in Language
Education. We have been offering Modern Language courses
to cater for the diverse interests and abilities of our students.
With the collaboration with Pui Ching Academy, we are
now able to allow students to enroll for foreign language
courses of their own choices. To develop our students' global
perspectives, we continue to offer courses in Japanese.

We are also proud to introduce our innovative English
enhancement programme called the 'English Speaking
League'. Thanks to Mrs. Nellie Fong, Chairperson of the
Belilios Old Girls Foundation (BOGF), six celebrities have
been invited to act as Captains and to conduct conversation
classes with students after school. They include Mr James
Blake, OBE, JP, former Chief Officer of KCR; Mr. Stephen
Selby, JP, Associate Professor of the Hong Kong Polytechnic
University; Mrs. Rachel Cartland, former Administrative Officer
of Hong Kong Government; Mr. Chris Hall, retired Senior Tax
Specialist; Mr. Gordon Jones, former Head of the Companies
Registry of Hong Kong and Mrs. Helen Seaton. What a star-
spangled band!

This year, 50 students have enrolled in the programme and
they all enjoy the unique experience of sharing the lives of
the celebrities while mingling over a cup of tea, or via online
platforms.

We believe that students learn best with novelty and fun.

英語教學及英語會話聯隊

近年，本校的語文教學踏進一個新的里程。為照顧學生不同的興
趣和能力，本校參與「培正專業書院」舉辦的外語課程。本學
年，我們繼續開辦日文課程，幫助同學與世界接軌。

「英語會話聯隊」亦是本校引以為榮的新穎語文活動。由於「庇理
羅士舊生基金會」主席方黄吉雯女士的鼎力支持和協助，本校很榮
幸邀得六位巳退休的香港知名人士擔任「聯隊隊長」，放學後為同
學主領英語會話小組。 隊長的陣容可以說是「星光熠熠」。

今年共有五十位同學參加這個計劃。她們不但可以在優閒的環境
下鍛鍊自己的英語，同時更可分享前輩的成功秘訣及人生智慧。

我們深信愉快學習是最有效的。
