English language is taught as a discrete subject at (Second in Public Speaking Solo) (Third in Public Speaking Solo)
TYH by a mixture of native and non-native speakers.
Emphasis is placed on the need to develop an all-round English language
capability and students are given a rich diet of learning opportunities both
inside and outside classrooms to encourage more interactive learning, thus
helping students become independent lifelong learners, creative thinkers and
problem solvers who can communicate effectively in English.

Highlights
Interviewing tourists in Disneyland
Want to gain authentic learning opportunities outside
classrooms? What is better than interviewing tourists
in Disneyland during school picnic? Let's applaud this
unique way of practicing English as it provides much
needed exposure to actual English-speaking tourists
and puts our daring students in a position where they
cannot run or hide and have to use their English skills
creatively in order to make communication possible.
