Unconventional Pets

Can you imagine the world without human beings? We all live in a city where humans dominate

the place. Undoubtedly we have overlooked the other species in the world. However, in the modern
world, many people like to keep pets as one of the interests and leisure activities. Hongkongers like

to keep typical pets such as dogs and cats as they are common and can be easily found. But you may
wonder, are there any unconventional pets in the world? Of course, there are! Let me bring you all

into the world of exotic pets!

1. Pygmy Goats

This kind animal is called Pygmy Goat, which
is an unusual breed of sheep. They originated from
the Cameroon Valley of West Africa. Nowadays, many

people in the US keep pygmy goats as their pets. They

are just so adorable that people dream of owning one as
their pet. Nevertheless, it is quite hard for a hectic Hongkonger to
keep pygmy goats because they require plenty of living space for

running around and sufficient time to play with them. But it’s a

pity that they can barely be found in Hong Kong.

2.Stick Insects

To be honest, when I looked at the photo

for the first time, what I saw was just a brown

object. Looking deeply and carefully, they are
animals with eyes, arms and legs as well as
twigs and leaves. They are commonly found in

tropical regions like India. Unlike the other animals, their lifespan

is only about one to two years, depending on the species. In some
countries, for instance, Canada and Australia, some people keep
them as pets. It is capable for pet beginners to take care of stick

insects as they are easily looked after.
