Hong Kong Drama Festival

Our English Drama Team made their debut in the Hong Kong Drama Festival this year. They
performed their rendition of the classic novel – Around the World in Eighty Days. The students
learnt a lot of theatrical skills and techniques, and enjoyed themselves throughout the training and
show. After the performance, they won the Award for Outstanding Cooperation as well as three
Outstanding Performer Awards, given to Chokya (5A), Aidan (5C) and Hang (5C). Congratulations
       to our English Drama Team!

I think the drama class was exciting and educational. It was also
a good opportunity to meet new people and have fun together. I think
more students will have become interested in drama because of our
performance at school. I hope I can join the drama team next year.

Drama training was fun because we often played games which helped
us build up our acting skills. We also learnt various ways to express ourselves
through body gestures and voices. The teachers were very kind and patient with
us too. I want to thank my teachers for providing us such an amazing experience.

me the way to Hong Kong?”

       Exchange Programme with Canton Road

       Government Primary School (CRGPS)

In May, our English Ambassadors took
part in a joint-school exchange programme with
CRGPS and its sister school, Tangshu Elementary
School from Guangzhou. The students from the
three schools spent an afternoon learning about
each other’s cultures and festivals. They also
worked together to make a paper dragon boat to
get a taste of the Dragon Boat Festival.

We are making a dragon Let’s see whose dragon
boat together. boat is the best!

I had a wonderful learning experience at CRGPS. I met many
new friends in the programme. We learnt about the Dragon Boat
Festival. We learnt how to make a paper dragon boat and how to
make the boat move forward with liquid soap. It was complicated
The students are talking but also fun!
             about their own festivals.
