Outstanding Academic Performance

Under the concerted efforts of both teachers and students as well as the unfailing support
of the school sponsoring body, the past four decades have witnessed outstanding academic
achievements of our students.

In the reports of External School Review, our school is highly commended in the domain of
Learning and Teaching. The results of our Territory-wide System Assessment are far higher
than the average standard of the schools in Hong Kong. Outstanding results have also been
attained in the public examinations. The passing rates of our school in both the Hong Kong
Advanced Level Examination and Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination had been
over 95% for years. This was well above the Hong Kong average passing percentage. The
performance of our students in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE)
Examination is equally impressive. According to Ming Pao Daily News, our school ranked

12 among all schools in the territory with respect to the first HKDSE Examination results.
An average of 84% of our students attain ‘3322’ or better in the four core subjects and 60%
attain level 4 or above in the HKDSE Examination.

With the outstanding academic performance, our school has gained a wide community
recognition and is highly regarded by both parents and students. Our F.1 students belong to

YEARS OF EXCELLENCE Band One and all our F.6 graduates were admitted to universities or other higher education
institutions in 2018. Letters of recommendation by local universities are received from time
to time praising our graduates’ outstanding academic attainments. Our graduate, Leong Ka
Long Karen, was awarded the 2016 ASME Arthur L Williston Medal and is the first Hong
40 Kong student winner of the award.
