Arts and Physical Education Department 1. Twelve members joined the Fashion Workshop

(beginners) this year. Through learning the
fundamentals of sewing and fashion design with
different fabrics or materials, participants experienced
the world of fashion as a designer and producer.
2. This year, there were sixteen members in the Ceramic
Club. Everyone enjoyed expressing their creativity
through ceramic design and sculpture.

3. Bike-driven upcycling art workshop was held on 1 -2
December 2018, Open Days. We were pleased to have
over 1500 participants, including students and guests
from different primary schools. Everyone learnt how
to upcycle art using innovative sustainable measures.
4. On 6 September 2018, senior form students majoring
in Visual Arts attended an exhibition ‘In Search of
Southeast Asia through the M+ Collections’. From the
fields of design and architecture, moving images and 4
visual art in the exhibition shed light on the diverse
and wide-ranging cultural practices within the region.

1. Our Music Society members are always eager to
show off their musical talents on campus. During
our Central Recruitment Day, the Music Society
attracted more members by forming a band and
performing songs in front of their schoolmates.
2. The Canaan Show is a great platform for
students to show off their musical talents.
3. With the increasing need and importance of
information technology in today’s society,
our S.5 music students were given the chance
to learn many skills related to multi-media
production including the competences required
for recording and editing live music.
4. Our mini-orchestra is a valuable podium for
students who have learnt musical instruments
4 to show off the results of their hard work by
performing in our school’s ceremonies.
