Good People Good Deeds

5A Ho Ma Hei, Jeff " ੵࣜ৐

Many years ago, Mary was a rich but selfish
girl. She never bought flags or gave money to
beggars. No one wanted to be her friend.

One night, Mary saw her grandpa’s soul in
her dream. Her grandpa said, ‘You are so selfish.
You have never offered help to others. You will
be punished when you die.’ Mary was scared.
Her grandpa also told her if she didn’t want to be
punished, she had to go to the villages in Africa and
helped the poor.

The next month, Mary went to Africa. In a poor
village, she saw a lot of patients lying in their huts.
She was sorry about that. She decided to help them. She took care of them carefully.
She also employed some engineers to teach the villagers to build wells so that the
villagers could get underground water. They could have clean water for drinking and
washing.
One day, Mary was bitten by mosquitoes. Luckily, she had brought the medicine
for Malaria. She found that a lot of people died of Malaria in Africa. So she bought
mosquito nets and medicine for people there. They thanked her very much.
Mary stayed in Africa to help the people for about ten years. A lot of people
gradually improved their lives. Then, Mary left Africa and went back to her home town.
Now, Mary becomes a helpful and kind lady. She even runs an organization named
‘Save Poor Children’ to help the poor. Now, she is very happy because she has learnt
that helping others is the most beautiful thing in the world.
