                                        ‘15’

                                                            5B Lui Sze Man

              ‘Happy birthday to me,’ I said to myself. I still remember the day when I was 15 years old;
          it was the most unforgettable birthday for me.

              On that day, I woke up very early at half past six, but I didn’t need to go to school. So it
          was an especially early day for me, and I went out at seven o’clock.

              After taking an-hour long journey, I arrived at the destination, Admiralty, finally. ‘Good
                                              th
          morning, Sherman.’ ‘Good morning.’ The day was 5 October, 2014. It was just at the time of
          Umbrella Movement. Everyone at Admiralty and Mong Kok had the same target.
              After I had arrived, the job I had to do was to distribute and tidy up the supplies that
          people from different communities contributed to us. It was a busy day and it was also a little
          bit laborious, but I enjoyed it very much because I thought I had done a meaningful thing.

              Although no one knew that the day was my birthday, no one said ‘happy birthday’ to me;
          they all were trying to help me reach my target and my dream. It was much more important
          than saying ‘happy birthday’ to me.

              At that night, all HongKong people worked and sang together. It was very touching as we
          were united. Although no one said ‘happy birthday’ to me, it looked like all the people at the
          movement were celebrating with me, so it was the most profound and unforgettable birthday
          for me.
