My father is a Fung Shui master. He told me a mysterious story about a magical turtle.
In ancient China, floods appeared frequently. People went to pray in front of the God to
stop the flood. The magical turtle climbed out from water. Its shell had an abnormal pattern.
We call that pattern Lo Shu pattern. Chinese people developed the pattern before a French
mathematician, Clasude-Gaspard Bachet.
The pattern had nine numbers. There were dots on the nine-hall grid on the shell. You
could find that the sums of all the numbers in all directions, namely, diagonally, horizontally
and vertically, were all the same-15.

This year is our school’s 15 anniversary and I hope the number “15” can bring my school
good luck and all good things in the coming future.
