A Fifteen-Year-Boot Camp

Once upon a time, 15 children lived on an island, and all were around 15 years old. They
did not have parents to stay with them. The only message knew was that they came from
different families and they had lived by themselves for many years.
The island was so small, that it only took you two hours to walk around the island. There
were many trees around the island. So, the children cut the trees and built their houses with
wood. But the big disadvantage was that the wood would become wet and broke easily,
because it was eroded. Also, there were many wild animals in the woodlands, so they needed
to catch the sea animals by boating on the sea. They were living happily and safely until
fifteen months ago...

One day a boy didn’t come back after going fishing. The other children were surprised
and felt unbelievable as all of them were good at swimming! Then one by one disappear and
the accident continued to happen...a girl never came back after going to catch fish. And these
incidents happened over and over, and only ten children survived on the island. They were
very scared, and they had imagined that the five children who never came back were eaten by
the huge sea monster: the king octopus! But they would die if they did not eat any fish, and
there was not any food on the island. Finally, they decided to go to catch fish with ten people
together!
They made wooden poles and wood pickaxe as weapons; they wanted to kill the king
octopus for food. The weather was rainy and the sky was covered by grey clouds. They tried
to stay calm to face this terrible situation, the worse result they could think of was that they
would all die! The boat left the island so far that they could not see the island anymore.
The sea was covered by smoke and they lost the way! Suddenly, they saw an enormous
black shadow in the smoke and it was going forward to their boat! They were so scared, that
they shrieked, and cried. The black monster released the black smoke.
Oh, it was a big ship, not the scary monster. And somebody on the boat was excited to
see them. Finally, all of them were taken on the big ship. The mystery of the island was that
the children’s parents had lost them fifteen years ago at a boot camp. Their parents wanted
their children to learn how to survive by themselves. And the ‘disappeared children’ had been
brought back by their parents who had been looking for them.

All of the fifteen children went back to their family and left the island forever.
