To celebrate the 50 Anniversary of The Y.W.C.A. Hioe Tjo Yoeng College,
our school hosted a series of celebration events.

The 50 Anniversary Thanksgiving Service was held in October 2021, to
The Y.W.C.A. Hioe Tjo Yoeng College.
thank God for His grace and guidance over HTYC for half a century.

The 50 Anniversary Alumni Homecoming Banquet was conducted to
reconnect with Alumni and former and current principals and teachers. It
was originally planned to be held in January 2022. Due to the pandemic,
it was postponed. But, with God’s grace, we finally conducted an Alumni
Homecoming on the school campus in July 2022.

Though the pandemic has placed a lot of constraints on conducting outdoor

fund-raising walks, we finally conducted an indoor 50 Anniversary Walk-A-
Fun to raise funds for school development in August 2022. Both students
and teachers enjoyed this creative and interesting activity.

To celebrate the 50 Anniversary, our school proudly presents a series of
souvenirs that echo the anniversary theme, ‘Flourish in His Grace’. Our
students, parents and teachers enthusiastically participated in ordering these
beloved souvenirs. Due to the pandemic, even though our Alumni might
not be able to participate in our celebration events, they could still enjoy the
online ordering of the souvenirs.

Last but not least, our online 50 Anniversary Concert was conducted

on 2 September 2022. The concert featured performances by our
symphony band, alumni choir, school choir, and a cappella team. Numerous
accomplished alumni musicians and our current student musicians could be
found in this remarkable concert.
